What began as a simple mentoring program has quietly become one of the most valuable development tools in our industry. Over 150 swim school professionals have taken part so far. Some came to learn. Others came to share.
But what we’ve seen is something stronger than a traditional mentoring model. People are learning from each other, lifting their skills, and building confidence in the process. Now, the program is entering its next chapter. It’s called BOSS Advantage.
From Mentoring to Momentum
Mentoring is no longer just about giving back. It’s about moving forward together. Whether you are stepping into leadership for the first time or bringing years of experience to the table, BOSS Advantage gives you the space to reflect, connect and grow.
Originally known as ASSA Advantage, the program connected swim school professionals across the country to talk about leadership, business, communication, and everything in between. As the sessions rolled out, something became clear. Mentors were getting just as much from the conversations as their mentees.
Participants were applying what they’d learned in real time. Skills improved. Confidence grew. And the sense of community deepened. Rather than continuing as it was, we decided to shape the next version with more structure, stronger themes, and a wider reach. Introducing BOSS Advantage BOSS Advantage is the new format for mentoring at ASSA.
BOSS Advantage sits within the broader BOSS program, offering a four-month peer-to-peer learning experience with tailored support. This version keeps the best of what has worked so far while adding a more purposeful structure. There is no single way to run a swim school. But if we can get better at how we lead, how we communicate, and how we support each other, then the whole sector benefits.
