Guy Leech
Events & Inclusion Manager, 7 time Australian Ironman Champion & Health and Safety Advocate
“Together, we can make a difference in drowning prevention”
Guy was the first man to win the Coolangatta Gold – a 46km race or running, swimming and paddling from Surfers Paradise to Coolangatta and back. Staying at the top of the sport for the next decade, Guy has cemented his name in the national psyche along with winning major ironman races across the globe, including the World Ironman title. When retiring from the sport, he did so not ever having lost a marathon Ironman race during his career, something no other ironman has ever done. As one of Australia’s foremost advocated for a healthier nation, Guy is passionate about the challenges of childhood obesity, heart disease and raising awareness for community-focused fitness.
