Development Swim Coach – Gold Coast

Join our supportive team and patrons at the Gold Coast’s largest, privately owned, indoor swim centre. We proudly produced over 20 school age champions last year and we want to better that this coming year.

Swim coach required to guide and mentor development level squads in our indoor, heated 8 lane, 25m pool in Upper Coomera.

Work with our world-class swim staff to build and product swimmers of and to a competitive level.  Availability Monday to Saturday, swim meet attendance required.

Hours negotiable & a-plenty.  Must hold currency in:

  • Industry qualification (ASCTA/Swim Australia Coaching licence)
  • First Aid/CPR

 

Specialise in writing and implementing programs and nurturing team relations.  Portray a genuine love of coaching, working with swimmers to reach their full potential.  Assist and work with the Gullivers Coomera Swimming Club members, families and committee.

Pool Deck Service Coordinator – Brisbane

  • Your preference, your choice in which AGE GROUPS you work with.  Choose to work with babies & toddlers, or pre school & primary school aged children, or both!  We will never force you to work in a program that is not your PASSION.
  • We provide constant up-skilling and industry leading TRAINING such as daily LEARNING SUPPORT from our Service Team on deck, weekly ONLINE TRAINING for continuous professional development, and 3 weekly ON THE JOB COACHING from our Head of Teaching in your focus areas.  We will continuously help you strive for mastery.  
  • With a Permanent HR EXPERT on our team, we follow the Fair Work Legislation to the letter, and would NEVER expect our Team to do anything outside the Act.
  • We commit to our Teaching Team with PERMANENT employment and Minimum Guaranteed Hours, no unreliable inconsistent casual arrangements. 
  • We pay at least 4% ABOVE AWARD WAGES! 
  • We swim 7 days a week, and ask you to choose at least ONE weekend work day from Saturday or Sunday alongside your weekday shifts.  If you prefer, you can choose BOTH weekend days and reap the benefit of LOADED payrates.
  • We are a YEAR ROUND swim school, offering ongoing employment.  We do not close for Winter!

 

What is the role?

You will be responsible for providing our teaching team and customers the Hampton 6 Star Service Formula on the pool deck during classes and with phone & email follow up where required. You’ll work closely with our Enrolments, and Support Teams to deliver a full life cycle of service to our swimmers and their families, plus to nurture and support our Teaching Team for their best performance success. You’ll work part time approx. 3-4 days a week including Saturday and Sunday, with a permanent base salary of $55,199 per annum pro rata + superannuation

  • Effectively works with minimum direction with desire and ability to self manage and achieve

 

The Candidate

You are experienced from the ground up in the industry of swim schools, with a thorough understanding of the parent – child – teacher relationship to ensure children are safe, happy and progressing in our lessons, so that customers keep coming back. You understand the importance of fostering long term ongoing relationships between customers and our business. You also have an understanding and empathy for our customer base who are primarily parents of young children, and our teaching team who are primarily young adults starting out.

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and focussed swimming professional to lead the successful Swim School team at Ku-ring-gai Fitness & Aquatic Centre.

About your new role

The Swim School Coordinator leads and manages all aspects of aquatics programs including the YMCA NSW Swim School program, Schools Swimming lessons and Lane Hire.
The successful applicant will be required to have a firm knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the YMCA NSW Swim School program, educational trends and industry development.
The position requires an energetic, motivated person who is not afraid to use their own ideas and initiative. To ensure we provide high quality lessons for the patrons, you will need to have strong communication skills and a commitment to providing our customers and parents the best possible level of customer service, education and enjoyment from the lessons.
This is a rewarding and fulfilling role based in a friendly, community minded facility.

Swim Teacher

BlueFit Swimming is seeking committed team members for multiple Swim Teacher roles across a spread of weekday and weekend hours.
